Ambassador Yargwa Tips Nasarawa United For An Impressive Second Round

The Nasarawa State Commissioner for Youth and Sports development, Ambassador Lucky Isaac Yargwa has expressed his optimism over Nasarawa United to bounce back in the second stanza of the league.

The solid miners narrowly lost to Shooting Stars in Ibadan on Sunday in their matchday 19 clash leaving them to 14th position on the log with 22 points from 19 games.

Speaking to the newsmen after the clash at Lekan Salami Adamasingba Stadium, Yargwa though expressed concern over the run of form of the club but believe things will turn around for good after the break.

"So far I think I am not comfortable with the position where Nasarawa United is at the moment after the first round" said the Commissioner.
Reacting to the poser of whether the average performance of the team in the current season could be attributed to some of the players that left the club, he acknowledged their role and say the present crop of players will also deliver for the club.

"Those players were good players and were part of the team. As you rightly said, when they left it affects the team, some of the players we have on ground just came in to join the team at the beginning of the season and I can assure you that they will get themselves together before the season finishes and we would bounce back to the top five before the season ends"

The last season's federation cup finalist will host Shooting Stars at the Lafia City Stadium when the league resumes on the 3rd of April.
