November 13, 2020 witnessed a gathering of old stars as The Liberty All Stars, Ibadan played host to The United Royal All Stars, Lagos at The Arisekola pitch, Liberty stadium in Ibadan. The match ended 3-0 in favour of The Liberty All Stars.Proceedings started at 9.30am with The United Royal All Stars taking the initiative and displaying good Football artistry to the delight of the crowd gathered to watch the game. The United Royal All Stars dominated the early minutes of the game but The Liberty All Stars came back stronger towards the end of the first half and grabbed their curtain raiser through Kola Ademola (Eddyvaldo) just before the end of the first half.The second half was virtually a one sided affair as The Liberty All Stars cruising to a comfortable win with Midfield maestro, Duke Udi showing great brilliance. The second goal was scored by Yemi Bamishaye, through a well taken shot that resulted into a beauty of a goal, while Muyiwa Lawal (Kokoro) completed the rout with a nicely headed goal off a cross by Franklin Egbum.
The United Royal All Stars had in their line up, players like Festus Odini of the Japan 93 fame, Julius Ojegbaese, Igrubia Ken, Peter Nieketen, Mba Agbai and UgoChukwu Billy, while Liberty All Stars featured Oladipupo Adira in goal, Gbenga Okoro, Femi Opabunmi, Franklin Egbum, Dele Adeleye, Ahmed Olajunwon, Henry Duru, Duke Udi, Kola Ademola, Daniel Osoata and Muyiwa Lawal (Kokoro) as their starting line up, with substitutes, Tayo Abiodun (Tigana), Yemi Bamiahaye, Adewusi Adeyemi and Ejinaka John.
